May 12 & 13 - Concrete!

The concrete truck arrives on site.

The first pour of our foundation/footers.

Ben and crew hard at work.

Making progress

Tada! The footers are complete. Notice the 5 small footers in the foreground - those are for the back deck.

Nice view from 137

Then May 13, 2010 rolls around and the boys have some nice weather to put in the forms on top of the footers for the stem walls.

They did it despite the weather in Mayuary. The posts you see in the foreground are sonotubes that will also be filled with concrete and then will be underground to support the posts for the back deck.

Tomorrow... weather permitting... Ben and the boys will fill the stem walls with concrete and let it set over the weekend. The first floor height is the height of the top of the white walls you see.

did some appliance shopping on Saturday

lot is completely ready for concrete footers - lots going on this coming week!

So, there's a 15' tall pile of top soil on the lot right now, it provides a great view of how we'll be able to see Paradise Divide and town from the second floor.
